It’s back for 2016!
Sunshine-drenched terraces, warm spring evenings and twilight tastings
– it’s not long until London Wine Week drenches us all in city’s
dynamic wine scene for the third year running.
Taking place 23-29 May 2016, the festival will return to the beautiful
Devonshire Square in the heart of the City for a second year, where
The LWW Nyetimber Hub will once again ensure that patrons kick off
their London Wine Week in sparkling style, before exploring the maze
of other delicious pop-ups on the estate. Devonshire Square will also
play host to the London Wine Week Banquets, a series of wine tasting
dinners in partnership with Disappearing Dining Club, new for 2016.
For LWW wristband wearers, more than 125 venues across the capital
will join in the festivities with wine flights, perfectly paired
menus, special deals on corkage and a variety of events. A highlight
of the week promises to be London’s biggest self-guided wine tasting
– the Wine Tours – helping you discover new grapes, varieties and
vintages from the comfort of London’s best bars and restaurants.
Sommeliers will each create bespoke £5 tasting flights designed to
compare a grape variety or region or simply showcase the diversity of
wine.
Beyond the LWW Hub and the Wine Tours you can look forward to a full
week of masterclasses, supper clubs, pop-ups, parties, tastings and
perfectly paired winemaker dinners. From a series of events hosted by
Loire Valley Wines, including a rooftop BBQ at Queen of Hoxton, to
“Let’s Get Fizzical” a sparkling wine tasting with industry
legends Three Wine Men, there’s an event for everyone, amateur to
expert.
