Shirley Beer & Cider Festival

When

The Shirley Beer and Cider Festival is usually held in May.

Where

The festival is based at Camp Hill RFC, Haslucks Green Road, Solihull B90 2EF. Shirley sits right on the south‑eastern edge of the West Midlands, but it’s very much part of Warwickshire’s Solihull borough in character and feel. If you picture Solihull as a sort of gateway between Birmingham’s urban sprawl and the leafier, more relaxed parts of Warwickshire, Shirley is tucked neatly on that transition line.
It stretches along the A34 Stratford Road, which is basically its spine, running north toward Birmingham and south toward the more rural villages that lead you deeper into Warwickshire. To the west you’ve got Hall Green nudging up from the Birmingham side, and to the east the landscape quickly softens into places like Cheswick Green and Earlswood.
So in simple terms: Shirley is the bit of Warwickshire that brushes right up against Birmingham, blending suburban convenience with that slightly calmer, greener Warwickshire vibe.
