The annual North Leeds Charity Beer Festival will be held on 6-7 April 2018.
We are delighted to announce the 7th Annual North Leeds Charity Beer Festival 6-7 April 2018. The beer festival which is organised and run by The Rotary Club of Roundhay will be held at North Leeds Cricket Club, The Homestead, Old Park Road, Roundhay, Leeds, LS8 1JX.
The theme of this year’s beer festival is seven and we will feature seven breweries who will supply us with 35 casks of real ale, and to complement the beer seven ciders will be on offer. New for the 2018 festival there will be a Gin Bar with accompanying mixers and botanicals. The bar at North Leeds Cricket Club will be open for the total duration of the festival to purchase non-alcoholic beverages and alternative drinks. Pork pies and vegetarian samosas will be served at all sessions of the beer festival.
The festival has a reputation for great music as well as beer and this year will be no exception with bands performing over the two days.
Since the inception of the beer festival back in 2012 the charity event has raised close to £30,000. We are indebted to all our volunteers, bands, breweries and sponsors who made it happen we couldn’t have done it without them. Money raised at the festival is used to support the rotary club’s local, national and international projects. Monies from the 2017 festival have been dispersed and one of the organisations to benefit from a donation was Leeds Rowing Club based on Waterloo Lake in Roundhay Park.
Others to profit include Roundhay Stroke club, John Jameson School and youngsters for local schools participating in the ocean-going Young Sailor, Rotary Technology Tournament, Young Writer Young Musician and Young Chef as well as the residential Rotary Young Leadership Award which counts toward the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
What better way than helping to raise money for charity than enjoying yourself in the company of friends, or making new friends, trying new beers and listening to a musical experience!!!
